Ron Paul To Appear on The O’Reilly Factor
Ron Paul is scheduled to appear on the O’Reilly Factor on Monday, September 10 at 8 p.m. ET.
On the timing, the LRC Blog had this to say:
First, I think that after this last debate, many among the “GOP faithful” are at least fired up AGAINST Ron Paul (and some are thinking SERIOUSLY about ideas he presented), which is not entirely a BAD thing. Getting GOP-ers fired up, means that oblivious people are starting to look up and take notice of Ron Paul! Ron Paul ALWAYS advances after debates because of this factor. At such times, the huge anti-Paul portion of the media, can no longer completely avoid acknowledging Paul’s existence! These GOP-ers want to watch a lynching by O’Reilly.
Second, the real hardcore NEOCON faithful almost NEVER choose ball games over their hero, Bill O’Reilly! If they MUST choose between getting marching orders from him, and watching a ball game, they will usually record one or the other to watch at a later time. How do I know? Because, I used to BE one of the O’Reilly loving Neocons! That is, before I took O’Reilly’s advice, and “WISED UP”!
The true Neocons are certainly hoping for O’Reilly to give Ron Paul a real beating, and for his “No Spin Zone” to expose the assumed Ron Paul spin for what it is, sending Paul packing with his tail between his legs. The problem with that is, Ron Paul is not the type to rely on SPIN to argue his straightforward message. It is more LIKELY that Paul will expose the O’Reilly spin on the subjects of CIVIL LIBERTIES, our BILL OF RIGHTS and the CONSTITUTION!
This interview has the potential to be history-making in its explosive clash of two radically different ”conservative” world views, seeing as Bill O’Reilly is a staunch advocate of all of the following (all of which Paul is opposed to):
And the strange part is, he’s NOT EVEN THAT STRONG AN OPPONENT OF ABORTION–the major cause that led me to originally join up with the Neocons in the first place!
Bill, I’ll be watching like a “hawk,” so you’d probably feel right at home with me!

But FOX News is making sure that viewership is minimized by scheduling him during the opening night of Monday Night Football, which is a double-header. The Death Penalty (even for many non-lethal crimes)
Massive secret data mining dragnets, circumventing judicial oversight and the 4th Amendment
Government Collection of ALL AMERICAN SEARCH RECORDS FROM ENGINES LIKE GOOGLE
FBI accumulation of secret files on all Americans
National ID Cards
ALL PARTS of the Patriot Act (even the original version)
WARRANTLESS wiretapping of ALL types of Americans’ communications
FISA changes, to rubber stamp WARRANTLESS Wiretaps, & to give Telecoms legal immunity
WARRANTLESS collection of library, internet, bookstore and banking records of Americans:
PLUS GAG ORDERS (1st Amendment???) that can NEVER BE CHALLENGED, for hundreds of thousands of businesses receiving NON-TERRORISM RELATED NSLs–National Security Letters–that allow government agencies to secretly obtain all banking, library and internet records, of innocent American citizens, WITHOUT COURT APPROVAL!O’Reilly is also in favor of expanding executive authority,
Allowing the executive branch to live ABOVE THE LAW AND THE CONSTITUTION,
Abridging the free speech of those whose views offend him . . . etc.
