The above coin is one of THREE Amero coin designs “minted” as a SPOOF COLLECTOR’S COIN by Daniel Carr, of Designs Computed, who just happens to be the designer, BTW, of the actual New York and Rhode Island state quarters for the US Mint. Daniel has created quite an Internet stir with his “Amero” coins! When pics began to be circulated on e-mail–with a date stamp of 2007–wild rumors flew like the flying monkeys on “The Wizard of Oz”, broadcasting that the new coins were ”PROOF” that a once secretive plan by the elites of the world to merge Mexico, USA and Canada into an EU-style alliance, was far more advanced than originally believed!
But where did Daniel Carr get his idea for the coins? Is there any truth behind the widely held belief that elite power-brokers have been trying, to lead North American nations toward the acceptance of an EU (European Union) style of alliance?
Daniel Carr got the idea for his coins, because there is, in fact, a lot of–at least circumstantial–evidence leading to this conclusion. Many elites do INDEED wish, to bring public opinion to a place where another EU-style alliance could be created on the OTHER side of “the pond”, as they say. Despite some of the admittedly wild conspiracy theories floating around, which are often light on facts, there has INDEED been talk in various venues over the years, of exactly such a Union. There have also been suggestions of a multi-national currency, to go along with the Union. Few would deny that MANY elites of the world would like to see such an alliance, and that they have talked both openly, and privately, about it. AND, at least ONE suggested name for the bantered about multi-national currency, is the ”Amero”, intended to correspond with, and COMPETE with, the “Euro”, which has shot up in value, impressively, since its inception, against the ever-weakening US Dollar.
Daniel Carr, himself, is AGAINST any union that would diminish the power of our Constitution, such as a North American Union would inevitably do, giving sovereignty to another governing body besides “We, the People”. In fact, Carr says on his web site that it is his belief, that his SPOOF COINS will “make more people aware of the issue and the possible ramifications” of such a Union. He also says, “I encourage citizens to voice their approval or disapproval of government plans that impact them.“
One of the web sites Daniel points to, to explain more about his coin and the “Union of North America” issue, is Eric McCrea’s “Micro-National & Fantasy Coin Listings” which makes this comment about the Amero collector’s coin:

These are related stories, because one of the reasons many people are so eager to see the establishment of a Euro-style American Union monetary system, is the weakness of our dollar. Our dollar has been in consistent and radical decline, ever since our monetary system violated the Constitutional mandate that our money must be backed up by either gold or silver. The U.S. Dollar cannot–in its present state of decline–compete with currencies such as the Euro.
In recent times, REAL inflation (factoring in food and energy costs) has been OFF THE CHARTS! This is largely because when the government needs more money (to fight WARS), they just PRINT more (as well as borrow from places like China), and the resulting devaluation to our dollar comes, essentially, as a TAX on the poor and the middle class, whose spending power suddenly drops along with the buying power of a weakened dollar! This happens at the SAME time that their interest rates soar, because of efforts to control inflation (thus the housing market crash, as regular people get squeezed to death with variable rate loans and inflation)!
Ron Paul would END this unstable reliance on Monopoly money, and return our nation to a gold and silver standard, which will ensure a stable and competitive dollar!
There is something ELSE Ron Paul would do as president, which will truly make him the “GOLD STANDARD” in American leadership. He will UTTERLY erase the horrendous secretive nature, of a government that is supposed to be of the people, by the people, and FOR the people! I personally DON’T KNOW if ALL the rumors surrounding the issue of a proposed North American Union are true, but what I DO KNOW, is that the proliferation of suspicions and conspiracy theories about any NUMBER of things, is a direct consequence of our leaders holding to an UNDEMOCRATIC policy of secretive governance! This insidious practice–which has only grown worse during the Bush administration–is in direct violation of both the LETTER and the SPIRIT of our Constitution.
