Why is our dollar crashing, and why is our national debt soaring, and why can’t average Americans afford to buy gasoline and food, or to heat and cool their homes, which they ALSO cannot afford to buy? Where is all of our money going???

Gates to ask Congress for nearly $190 billion war funding
WASHINGTON (CNN) — Defense Secretary Robert Gates is asking for nearly $190 billion from Congress to help fund the wars in Iraq and Afghanistan, an increase from the amount requested earlier this year.
Defense Secretary Robert Gates will ask Congress to increase funding for the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.
The secretary is scheduled to testify on Wednesday before the Senate Appropriations Committee on the “global war on terror” request for the 2008 fiscal year. . . .
