HALL OF FAME: Thank You OpEdNews, Tavis Smiley, MSNBC & Bill Mahr!
I have several commendations to make, as an example of POSITIVE RON PAUL REPORTING (there are more, to be sure, but these are just a sampling for honorable mention, in order to show our heartfelt gratitude). THANK YOU OpEdNews, Tavis Smiley, MSNBC & Bill Mahr, for giving Ron Paul and the Freedom rEVOLution a fair shot! That’s all we are asking for.
FIRST, I found this really GREAT article about Ron Paul on OpEdNews, which outlet seems to be a real emerging alternative voice, to some of the MSM (Mainstream Media) misinformation out there–especially regarding the issue of bringing our troops home. They have also posted a great many articles about Ron Paul in the past (see HERE). BTW, they could use your moderate help at OpEdNews, I understand, to keep their alternative voice alive (click HERE). If you help out, please LET THEM KNOW that you are a supporter of RON PAUL 2008!
Remember, it never hurts to make friends! (our president could stand to remember this, too)
SECOND, Every media organization executive out there–and ALL FUTURE JOURNALISM STUDENTS–should be required to STUDY the meticulous attempt at unbiased moderation, made by Tavis Smiley at last night’s PBS Republican Presidential Forum!
From the introductions of the candidates–both on the PBS web site AND at the Forum–to the randomly chosen stage placements, to the absolutely equal time given for answering questions, to the lack of any apparent bias toward candidates (with the mild exception, possibly, of Keys, who tended to keep talking longer than the other candidates), to the opportunity for each and every candidate to answer each question, to the unbiased rotation, of which candidate got first dibs on questions, to a variety of questions, some of which were equally challenging to different candidates (including to Ron Paul . . . consider the Darfur, Sudan question, which led other candidates to skewer Paul . . . even though few had a real viable solution that I could detect). Even what was LACKING, is telling! On PBS, there was no reporting from a biased groupie-room, holed up in some cafe, in order to persuade unbiased viewers, in ’stealth’, of whom the network execs believed had “won” the debate. Also lacking, was a post-debate SPIN-ROOM (FOX, “Fair and Balanced”), where MOST of the spinning is done by the network ”news” moderators.
All around, I commend you Tavis Smiley! Thanks for being FAIR! That’s ALL WE ARE ASKING FOR!

THIRD, MSNBC deserves honorable mention for allowing this–and other–POSITIVE Ron Paul campaign interviews. Thank you for giving Paul a fair hearing for your viewing public! That’s ALL WE ARE ASKING FOR!
And FINALLY, I wanted to thank BILL MAHR, who, though I have not always agreed with his philosophies in the past, has been a surprisingly vocal advocate for Ron Paul! You can detect from the following video, that Wolf Blitzer seems to have been EXTREMELY reticent to ask Mahr the question, which his producers apparently instructed him to ask Mahr. He starts telling Mahr that he had essentially WARNED his producers that if he were to ask that question, it would give Ron Paul free air time, which CNN apparently wants to MINIMIZE for this apparently blacklisted candidate (the amount I’ve heard about Ron Paul on CNN, and the NATURE of what I’ve heard, only confirms my suspicion so far). Notice how QUICKLY Blitzer changes topic, after Mahr has opened up the can of worms about Ron Paul!
THANK YOU BILL MAHR for CARING about America’s principles and future, even if it means speaking out in favor of a REPUBLICAN!

‘Ron Paul isn’t an establishment type, and unlike other politicians, he doesn’t wish to further control our lives. America according to Ron Paul would be a safer, freer, more independent, and more liked nation around the world.’
It is exciting to chronicle the Ron Paul revolution of hope, liberty, and freedom. You can never accurately gage how far any grassroots movement will go, but his campaign shows no signs of slowing down anytime soon. Although he has taken on the mantle of leader, it is our actions that have brought success. He continues to perform well in debates and in interviews, and this quarters campaign contribution numbers are expected to be good, which will even further distance him from the bottom pack candidates and give him a better chance at becoming president. We have all witnessed the chuckles, snickers, the taunting, the ridicule, the misrepresentation, and the outright disrespect that some have directed his way. He is focused, refuses to engage in sandbox politics, and continues to put his heart, soul, and body on the line because he sincerely wants to make this country better. He isn’t an establishment type, and unlike other politicians, he doesn’t wish to further control our lives. America according to Ron Paul would be a safer, freer, more independent, and more liked nation around the world. . . .
