Another Debate, Another Ron Paul Victory

Looking and sounding very presidential, Ron Paul turned in another excellent debate performance at the CNBC Republican presidential debate in Dearborn, Michigan this afternoon. He was leading CNBC's original post-debate poll with over 75% of the vote when they decided to pull it. The poll was later restarted, and Ron Paul is once again leading at 71%. The first CNBC poll was hardly an aberration though, as Ron Paul was dominating a similar poll on MSNBC with 67%.

The debate gave Ron Paul a chance to talk about the economy and monetary policy for a change, and of course, his views on Iraq and a potential war with Iran. After Mitt Romney suggested that he would meet with his attorneys to determine if he should consult Congress before launching a military attack on Iran, Ron Paul replied with the best line of the debate:

This idea of going and talking to attorneys totally baffles me. Why don't we just open up the Constitution and read it? You're not allowed to go to war without a declaration of war.
