Ron Paul Is OUR R.E.P.
I just found out what Ron Paul’s full name is, and I couldn’t help thinking just how appropriately he was named:
Ronald Ernest Paul (R.E.P.)
Now, for starters, everyone already knew that Ron Paul was in ernest, so it should come as no surprise to us, to discover, that Ernest is in the midst–the HEART–of Ron Paul. I can find a lot of criticism of his views out there, but I honestly have not yet stumbled upon ANY suspicions about Ron Paul’s sincerity! NONE! There have been NO questions about his honesty, his intentions, his straightforward motivations–the man is transparent, politically speaking! He is a political anomaly, in that for a CHANGE, we have a politician out there who is NOT HIDING ANYTHING (which bodes well for a potential Ron Paul-administered government–let’s bring some of the so-called ’state secrets’ out into the sunshine!). He makes no pretentious (and expensive) promises–as we’ve come to expect from politicians–and he lacks the ONE thing I’ve grown to hate MOST about the Bush administration AND about the whole lot of our current candidates and legislators, on both sides of the isle: LEGALISTIC speech, designed to hoodwink and deceive “the people of the United States of America” with every lawyered word and syllable! Nor has anyone–ANYONE–been able to bring questions about Ron Paul’s personal integrity–not even his avowed enemies. That’s more than can be said for many of the the big-name Republican wheelers and dealers, candidates, or, for a plethora of Democratic candidates, strategists and/or Representatives!
Which word–representative–brings me to my second point about Ron Paul’s full name: his initials, R.E.P. He IS representative! He is one of the RARE political representatives, who ARE truly representative of “We, the PEOPLE“. How ironic, one might observe, that a man who has spent so many years as an official representative of the people of the state of Texas, has the initials, R.E.P. But its irony stretches far beyond Texas, because it just so happens, that Ron Paul is the ONLY candidate running for president in this cycle, who has OUR interest in mind, rather than the power-hungry interest in usurping OUR authority (the people’s authority of self-government), in order to fleece us, herd us, spy on us, implant identification tags on us, use us, abuse us, fence us in, remove our most basic liberties and privacies, treating us like a bunch of dumb sheep! And if we FAIL to recognize this truth, then it is only because we are so selfish, self-absorbed and politically indifferent, that we are ACTING like a bunch of dumb sheep; and we will DESERVE exactly what we get, even though, by the time we wake up (too late!), we’re NOT going to LIKE it one bit!
Ron Paul IS a representative candidate! All candidates are sworn to “uphold and defend the constitution”, but lately almost ALL of them–Democrats, included–have been promising to further STRIP AWAY our constitutional guarantees. Ron Paul REPRESENTS absolute adherence to the constitution (including both privacy rights AND the constitutional guarantee to a right to life)!
Our country was founded on the principle, that that government is best, which governs LEAST–which least intrudes upon our private lives and private property–but lately, even the traditionally “small government” Republican party, has TOTALLY abandoned the principles of our founding fathers! The overbearing Elephant has driven us onto the road, which always ends in tyranny! The contemporary elephant herd has become enamored with even the MORE SINISTER form of big government; the form that suppresses civil liberties, as opposed to the slightly less sinister neo-socialist welfare state, envisioned by the Jack-Democrats. Ron Paul REPRESENTS absolute minimization of government intrusion into our private lives, liberties and property. He represents a government, whose powers come–alone–from Lamb-like principles (to borrow Apocalyptic symbolism), rather than from tyranny, and a government that does not betray its own principles–its true source of power–by speaking–legislatively, judicially, executively–like a persecuting Dragon!
Founding fathers, such as George Washington, also warned us against the foolishness of becoming embroiled in unnecessary conflicts, and political entanglements around the world–against the subtle temptation of empire–but nearly the entire political machine, which we call Washington, is dead set on implanting our military might into every nation around the globe! Our military expenses alone, exceed the total GDP of hundreds of other countries around the world, combined, while we cannot even fund the entitlements we’ve guaranteed to people in the homeland. As a result, we borrow from places like China, and we are printing money by the bucket-load to fund the empire; a practice, which–due to the devaluation of our dollar, and massive rise in REAL inflation (including food, housing and energy)–has the net effect of a TAX ON THE POOR AND MIDDLE CLASS! The EMPIRE is breaking our backs and bucks, as well as our liberties! Ron Paul REPRESENTS both a HUMBLE foreign policy, AND a return to a sound and stable monetary system, which is backed up by gold and silver (to protect “LITTLE” people, who do NOT profit from inflation).
Finally, the first and last names, are just as meaningful, when you think of a couple of OTHER Ronalds and Pauls in recent and ANCIENT history. My allusion to Ronald Reagan, whose campaigns Ron Paul participated in, needs little explanation, except for me to point out that Ron Paul, is the only TRUE fiscally conservative, small government, Republican candidate, even running.
Paul, the ancient, on the other hand–who lived in the first century A.D.–was a highly principled man, whose personal mission helped to lead a once tiny, unknown, and unpopular movement (Christianity), into a position of world-wide prominence–ending his recorded story, finally, at the emperor’s household, but not in order to wield the same despotic power. I know I am waxing allegorical, now, but this is, indeed, the essence of what our modern Paul’s mission, is now in the process of accomplishing. Paul–Ron Paul–is also highly principled, and he is helping to lead a once tiny, unknown, and unpopular (even routinely persecuted) movement (the FREEDOM REVOLUTION), into a position of world-wide prominence (to remind the whole world of the ORIGINAL principles of radical individual liberty, which made America so great an influence, once upon a time). Ron Paul’s journey, too, will end up, finally, at the ‘emperor’s household’, but Ron Paul will NOT go there to wield the same despotic power (see also HERE, HERE and HERE), which has been demonstrated by the recent occupant, along with his fellow empire-builders.
Ron Paul is OUR R.E.P. When Ron goes to the White House, WE, the PEOPLE, go to the White House, because only Paul, will faithfully represent OUR interest, our liberties, our privacy; and only PAUL will eradicate the damnable veil, the ominous cloud of secrecy, which has locked us out of the workings of OUR OWN GOVERNMENT! If I NEVER HEAR “just TRUST us” again, it will be TOO SOON!
