ALERT! Paul News Keeps Looking Up, But IOWA HELP IS NEEDED!
The news keeps looking better and better for Ron Paul's expected surprise:
But Ron Paul needs YOUR help, desperately, in Iowa, IF YOU CAN GO! Especially those who live NEAR Iowa, as I do, are needed to help put more boots on the ground. For instance, the Iowa media market I am nearest to (which happens to be our media market, too) is Sioux City, and they recently sent out the following call for help to my local Meetup:
...If you can spare even ONE DAY to sacrifice for the cause of liberty, and you are able to get away to Iowa, PLEASE go and give the front-line troops a personal boost!

...But let's not count out the Ron Paul troops. Most mainstream political people dismiss Paul as a quirky sideshow. Sure, he can raise money. Sure, he can dominate on-line polls (including the one on this page). But, the conventional wisdom goes, Paul's only got 6% support in the national polls. That weakness will show up once the voting starts.
Will it? What if Paul beats McCain, Thompson and Giuliani in Iowa? And what if he isn't that far back from Romney and Huckabee? And what if all the press he gets in the week between Iowa and New Hampshire gets New Hampshire voters remembering their state motto: "Live free or die," which could be the Libertarian anthem? And what if he does well in Nevada, which generally expresses the sentiment of the independent-minded western states?
...if Thompson, Huckabee, and McCain fall away after the early primaries because they run out of money, we might see a marathon struggle among Giuliani, Romney and Paul---with Paul grabbing the libertarian wing of the party...

night I was tasked by Meghann Walker and Dr. Iverson of the Des
Moines office with running the canvassing and phone bank
efforts in the Sioux City IA area.
Currently we are a little short on help. So I am asking
(begging) for any assistance your group may be able to provide.
I need people. Even if it's just for one day to come up to
Sioux City and help us go door to door and man the phones to
spread the message of freedom.
So if anyone in your group can come up any day (or more)
between the 26th and the 3rd to give us a hand that would be
tremendous.
If you cannot help us. We'll do our best with what little we
have.
